My journey through the past 12 years as a CRM expert
From London living, Head of eCommerce to escaping to the country and becoming a Mum.
eCommerce is a place I can indulge my love of brands and embrace my inner nerd, to the fullest.
Back in 2012, I kicked off my career in the eCommerce industry, wide-eyed and hungry for experience. Little did I know at the time, that job would be a pivotal moment for me and my career. Armed with just a degree in History of Art and a love for fashion, I was completely new to Customer Relationship Management but strolled into the Topshop office proudly as the new Online Production Assistant. It was throughout my initial roles in Topshop, FCUK and ME+EM that I became fascinated with how people interact with brands and learned that by understanding their behaviour and creating a community, we could grow a company exponentially.
And I guess it was meant to be as I’m still as fascinated as ever, 12 years later.

The trade of a lifetime
It was time to hang up the towel in my fast-paced, high-intensity role at This Works as the Head of eCommerce as like so many people over the pandemic, I found myself craving the slower pace of life. We moved to Salisbury and became a family of 4 (husband, daughter, dog and me!). Becoming a Mum was the catalyst I needed to have a career that supported me to have more freedom, more restful days and more autonomy. If you’re reading this and you’re simultaneously bossing a brand and raising a child – I salute you! The juggle is real but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
I can’t wait to support more brands and share the knowledge I’ve accumulated over the years!
