If the plan isn’t working, change the plan

When you started your business, it's likely you had very specific goals in mind. To achieve these objectives, you devised a plan. However, the path you are on can occasionally take unexpected turns, or circumstances might not evolve the way you’d hoped – a situation that is quite common. If your initial plan doesn't yield the desired outcomes, it doesn't mean you need to change your goals. Instead, it presents an opportunity to build a more resilient and effective approach to achieving your aspirations.

As a business leader, your primary goal is likely centred around establishing a thriving business. Typically, this involves achieving significant sales targets, accomplished through the acquisition and retention of customers.

But, you’ve hit a wall, the plan isn’t working. Sales aren’t where you want them and it’s become the big elephant in the room. You’ve realised you’re losing money because your customer experience isn’t as sophisticated or streamlined as it should be and you’re struggling to unpack the problems.

Many brands pour their budgets into paid media, socials and influencer marketing in a bid to acquire new customers thinking that it’s the only way to achieve their sales goals, forgetting that the most efficient and cost-effective way to scale their sales is through customer retention
